I wanted to highlight some of my absolute favorite wedding venues to photograph at, and of course The New England Outdoor Center tops the list. NEOC is a lakeside wedding venue nestled in the Maine woods with endless views of Mt. Katahdin.
Offering so much more than just a ceremony and reception, many weddings here turn into full weekend celebrations, with couples and guests staying on-site in the many cabins offered. The on-site accommodations, outdoor activities, and beautiful setting all contribute to that sense of togetherness that shines through in your wedding day photographs.
Surrounded by mountains, water, and wilderness, it has a way of shutting off the outside world, helping everyone to disconnect and be fully present. Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments, when everyone is just enjoying being together.
As a Maine-based wedding photographer, I have photographed several weddings at the New England Outdoor Center, including everything from large-scale weddings to intimate elopements, from spring to autumn, and even in a downpour or two.
